I am a North Carolina Native, and I’ve been in Massage Therapy for a little over 10 years. In this time, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different settings. I’ve been employed in Spa’s, Massage Clinics, Institutions and Colleges, and I’ve even worked for myself as well. Each opportunity has been incredibly rewarding and educational in its own way.
My passion is clinical massage, sports injury rehabilitation and prehabilitation. I specialize in Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular therapy, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Release, Epicondylitis Recovery, Pelvic alignment and posture balancing. I am also currently certified in shiatsu, hot stone, oncology and Swedish massage. Many of my clients are seen for pain management, as part of a rehabilitation plan, or to help ease symptoms associated with various medical conditions.
Each session is fully customized according to the needs and wants of each individual client. Through the use of detailed clinical assessments, treatment plans, and comprehensive notes, I am able to assist clients with a number of issues ranging from, range of motion limitations, injury rehabilitation, sport specific prehabilitation and pain management.
Seeing the results the last two years of my career have been spent as an educator at Living Arts Institute. My time here has inspired me to take my teaching career to the next level and begin offering continuing education classes for massage therapy. I cannot begin to describe the joy I experience in the classroom, and how rewarding it is to watch students fully realize their potential as future massage therapists. I can’t wait to do this on a larger scale.
