In this eight-hour course, Massage Therapist will learn a new perspective by incorporating traditional science techniques on assessment and treatment for their clients. Using these strategies to accurately record and trend their client’s range of motion or restrictions. After completion of the course, the Massage Therapist will be confident and capable of accurately recording their client’s range of motion in all major articulations using a goniometer. Develop treatment protocol specific to the client’s assessment. Gain genial understanding of pathologic conditions of articulations and the supporting soft tissue in the local area.
This course consists of lectures, demonstration and practice of techniques. Lectures will cover fundamental principles and associated anatomy and physiology for manual assessments. The instructor will demonstrate all the orthopedic assessments covered in this course and thoroughly describe what the practitioner looks for to create the most appropriate treatment protocol. Massage therapist who attend will partner up with each other and the instructor will coach them through the assessment, making corrections as necessary.
